Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
Intimate Physio Inc. ("The Intimate Physio", "we", "us" or "our") runs theintimatephysio.com and the Renova online program. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and the choices you have.
Many of the topics on this site are personal. You deserve to know exactly what happens to what you share with us, so we have written this in plain language.
The Short Version
We collect only what we need to run this website, show your self-check results, deliver what you buy and send emails you ask for.
Your self-check answers are health information. We keep them private; we never sell them, and we never share them for advertising.
We only send our newsletter if you tick the box to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@theintimatephysio.com.
Who We Are
Intimate Physio Inc. is a company based in British Columbia, Canada. Our educational content is created by Nasim Delfaninejad, MScPT, a licensed pelvic health physiotherapist.
This website, our self-checks and our programs are educational. Using them does not create a patient-physiotherapist relationship, and the information you share with us here is not part of a medical record.
OVA Women's Health Physiotherapy is a separate in-person clinic in Burnaby, BC. If you book or receive care at OVA, OVA's own privacy practices apply to that information.
Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
Self-check and quiz answers: your answers about symptoms such as pain, bladder, bowel, periods, pelvic exams, intimacy and pregnancy, along with your score and result. We also record that you confirmed the result is educational and not a diagnosis, and when you confirmed it.
Contact details: your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, and whether you asked to receive our newsletter.
Purchases: your name, email address and billing details when you buy a guide or other product. Your card or bank details are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store them.
Messages: anything you send us by email.
Information Collected Automatically
When you complete a self-check or quiz: the page you took it on, how you arrived (for example, the website that referred you, campaign tags in the link, or whether you came from a Google ad), your device type, language and time zone, and how long the self-check took.
Approximate location: for our Renova quiz, we estimate your country, region and city from your IP address using a location lookup service called GeoJS.
Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, how long they stay, what device they use, their approximate location and how they found us.
Website operation: our website host, Squarespace, collects technical information such as IP address and browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Notes saved in your browser: our website saves small notes in your browser, such as whether you closed a popup or already finished a self-check, so we do not show you the same message again. These notes stay on your device.
How We Use Your Information
To show your self-check result and your full breakdown.
To improve our self-checks and educational content. Where possible, we look at answers in combined, anonymous form.
To deliver your purchases, send receipts, give you access and help with support.
To send our newsletter, only if you asked to receive it.
To understand which pages, videos and ads help people find us, using combined statistics.
To keep our website secure and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use your self-check answers for advertising, and we do not share them with advertisers.
Your self-check score and patterns are calculated automatically from your answers. They are educational only and are never used to make decisions about you.
Your Health Information
Your self-check answers are sensitive, and we treat them that way:
We use them only to show your result and to improve our self-checks and content.
Only a small number of authorised people on our team can see them.
We do not share them with OVA Women's Health Physiotherapy or with anyone else for marketing.
They are not reviewed as clinical care. If you have urgent or worrying symptoms, please see a doctor.
By completing a self-check and submitting your email, you consent to us collecting and using your answers as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your answers at any time.
Emails and Your Choices
When you enter your email to see your full self-check breakdown, we save it with your answers. We will not add you to our newsletter unless you tick the box asking to receive it.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. If you buy something, we will still send emails related to your purchase, such as receipts and access details.

We use trusted service providers to run our business. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
Squarespace: hosts our website and online store and runs our cookie banner.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a buyer or successor if our business is ever sold or reorganised. In that case, your information would stay protected under this policy.
Where Your Information Is Stored
We are based in Canada. Our service providers store and process information in the United States and other countries, where it may be accessible to authorities under local laws. Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
Purchase records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require. In Canada, this is generally six years.
How We Protect Your Information
We limit access to the people who need it, use password-protected accounts with our providers, and send information over secure, encrypted connections. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
